| Historical Background |
| Central Library of University of Novi Sad was founded by the decision
of the Teaching and Scientific Council of University of Novi Sad on 17
February 2003. |
| Matica Srpska Library in Novi Sad registered the University Central Library on 14 May 2003. |
| Legacies |
| During February 2007, books, doctoral and master thesis, journals and
other materials were handed over to the University by professor Života
Šešić. On 7 March 2007, there was Memorandum on the Legacy signed by
professor Šešić who gave as a present 1.342 publications and 1 map to
the University of Novi Sad that were his private property. |
| Activities |
| Central Library activities refer to providing services within teaching
and scientific work at the University and its faculties. Primarily, it
collects literature for interdisciplinary studies at our University.
Within the consortium of Serbian libraries for joint acquisition
(KoBSON), there is a possibility to access thousands of expert journals. |
| Central library and faculty libraries form the network of libraries
that represents the information base for doing the teaching and
scientific work at the University. |
