| Specialist and doctoral studies have been organized at the Centre for Sustainable Development and Environment of the University in Novi Sad up to the academic 2008/2009. |
The
primary aim of the Centre is to form personnel and to conduct
researches that will contribute to the improvement of the management
and the organization in the field of environmental engineering, as well
as to provide the conditions for the more efficient protection of
environment which will be in accordance with the concept of a viable
development and right of future generations to have a healthy
environment. |
| Living in the
time of big and sudden changes and being under the pressure of the
public to accelerate the process of taking measures in protecting the
environment, it is of vital importance for our country to establish
qualitative and efficient educational programmes of researches in the
field of environment protection, especially in engineering of this
domain,in order to solve problems in practice more quickly and to
restore the heritage from the past. |
Long – term
goals in work:

Training personnel for multidisciplinary approach to the
problem of environment protection, who will organize and solve the
problems in this field overall applying the latest knowledge. |

The
organization and the implementation of the education concerning
Environmental Engineering at all levels of the university education. |

organization and the improvement of multidisciplinary work at the
University in Novi Sad. |

Restructuring
and reorganization of the current system of education when the experts
for environmental protection are concerned. |

Improving
methods of education through innovations and transfer of technology
from the developed countries. |

Improving
the transfer of knowledge from university to industry and vice versa. |

Realization
of applied scientific projects and researches for the purpose of
industrial development at national and international level. |

Organizing
and improving the public knowledge about environment protection through
the development of specific programmes, promotion of the TEMPUS centre
and education of the public. |
