| Within the Centre for Sports Medicine and Physicotherapy of the University of Novi Sad, master studies have been conducted. |
Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, Faculty of Medicine and University of Novi Sad are responsible for the process of teaching, which will be carried out by the most competent teachers and associates of the University of Novi Sad, as well as by teachers from other universities (in Serbia). Master’s studies of Sports Medicine and Kinetic Therapy can be enrolled by candidates who graduated at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, Faculty of Medicine or any other faculty related to the topic. |
| This study programme enable students to gain knowledge and skills which represent a continuation and improvement of their former education. The programme of Sports Medicine and Kinetic Therapy introduces students with the characteristics of development of all organs and systems as well as phenomena which can be noticed at active sportsmen, further to master the psychological aspects of sports medicine and the knowledge of preventive measures against being hurt, likewise of acting when being hurt. This programme also makes possible for students to gain knowledge of proper nutrition for sportsmen, proper application of training pressure, further of the mechanisms of muscle contractions and motor commands, kinesiology law and its methods which are the basis of the transformation of an organism as a whole. Students also learn about applying the technique of kinetic therapy to children and youth, who suffer from muscular disbalance (bad body posture, spine or chest deformities etc.), further about the techniques of applying basic procedures of physical therapy, as well as about biological effects of agents which are being applied in physical medicine, that is to say about indications and contra-indications resulting from their application and injures made under their influence. |
| The goal of this programme is to equip sports trainers, physiotherapists and all
other sports participants with instructions and to prepare them to
become a part of the medical team who take care of health improvement
of those who are engaged in sport, as well as about improving their
sports achievements. |
