| CENTRE FOR MEDICAL PHYSICS AND MEDICAL ENGINEERING |
|
| Within the Centre for Medical Physics and Medical Engineering of the University of Novi Sad specialist and doctoral studies have been organized up to the academic 2008/2009. |
These
interdisciplinary studies are unique on the territory of Serbia and in harmony with similar studies in other European
countries. They aim at training professional and research personnel for
successful team work in medical institutions. Rapid development of
medical diagnostics and therapy, as well as medical equipment of
advanced technology, require a team work of experts who, apart from
being competent in their profession, have to demonstrate knowledge in
the field of medicine, physics and engineering. The concept of such
multidisciplinary studies enables doctors, physicists and engineers,
who decide to work in medical institutions, to use the existing
equipment successfully, modernize it rationally and continually work on
its improvement. |
The study
program has been designed in such a way as to incorporate the latest
scientific and professional findings in the field of medical physics,
medical diagnostics and therapy as well as modern technological
achievements regarding medical instruments. The curriculum enables a
flexible approach to students’ preference for studying particular
specialized areas of medical physics through elective subjects and
their application in the current medical practice. Programs of
individual subjects are in complete harmony with the multidisciplinary
character of the studies, since experts from different fields carry out
the process of teaching: physicists, mathematicians, doctors,
biologists, chemists, engineers and others. |
