The Faculty of Economics in Subotica was founded in 1960. Although the seat of the Faculty is in Subotica, teaching has been conducted successfully for more than 30 years both in Subotica and at the Faculty Branch located in the University Campus in Novi Sad.

The Faculty strives to gain a distinguished position among similar institutions in Serbia as well as in the region of South-East and Central Europe. Today it is the second largest faculty within the University of Novi Sad according to the number of students at all three levels of studies. The basic orientation of the Faculty is education of future economists, managers andexperts in business informatics through three year bachelor studies (Agricultural Economics and Agro-Business; European Economics and Business; Finance, Banking, and Insurance; Quantitive Economics; Markeitng; Management; Business Information Systems; Accounting and Revision; Trade), two year master studies and doctoral studies (Economics; Management and Business; Business Informatics). During the first fifty years since the establishment of the Faculty of Economics, 14000 have completed the undergraduate programme, over 420 students have attained Master’s degrees and 185 candidates have been awarded with the academic title of Ph.D.

 Computer Lab
Faculty of Economics is the second largest faculty within the University of Novi Sad according to the number of students at all three levels of studies. In the academic 2008/2009, there are 5966 students studying at the Faculty at all three levels of studies, while the teaching and scientific activities are conducted within 6 departments:
¬ Department of Agricultural Economics and Agro-Business;
¬ Department of European Economics and Business;
¬ Department of Finance, Banking, Accounting and Revision;
¬ Department of Management;
¬ Department of Business Computer Science and Quantitative Methods and
¬ Department of Trade, Marketing and Logistics.
