| Faculty of Technical Sciences was founded as the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Novi Sad in 1960 and soon after that it became an integral part of the University of Novi Sad. In 1974, when the Electrical and Civil Engineering Departments were established, the Faculty evolved into the Faculty of Technical Sciences. Since then, the following departments have been established: Traffic Engineering in 1979, Architecture in 1996, Industrial Engineering and Management, Environmental Engineering and Graphical Engineering and Design in 1999 and Mechatronics in 2002. Faculty of Technical Sciences is the only faculty within University of Novi Sad which introduced into its management the quality management system complying with the international standards ISO 9001:2000. Apart from that, the Faculty is also the biggest faculty within the University of Novi Sad according to the number of students at all three levels of studies. |
