| The Faculty of Technology in Novi Sad was founded in 1959 with the aim of providing academic education for food technology engineers. In the course of 45 years of its existence, the Faculty of Technology has developed into a scientific and educational institution of high reputation at home and abroad. The high level of academic education as well as published scientific papers, projects, applied innovations, registered patents and other achievements of the staff members have ranked the Faculty very high among renowned institutions of its kind.
The Faculty continues to follow contemporary trends and high criteria in academic education at all levels in science and research, trying to retain its position and reputation for the entire scope of activities. It is well equipped with modern laboratories for practice and research, pilot-plant, specialized classrooms, computer classrooms, library and other facilities.
In the academic 2008/2009, there are 1012 students studying at the Faculty at all three levels of studies, while the teaching and scientific activities are conducted within 8 chairs:
¬ Chair of Elementary Engineering Disciplines;
¬ Chair of Applied and Engineering Chemistry;
¬ Chair of Chemical Engineering;
¬ Chair of Carbohydrate Food Technologies;
¬ Chair of Food Preservation Technologies;
¬ Chair of Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Engineering;
¬ Chair of Oil and Petrochemical Refining and
¬ Chair of Materials Engineering.
There are two specialized laboratories at the Faculty: for performing technical research work and food products analysis - Laboratory for Food Analyses, and for performing technical research activities and analysis of materials used for packing food products – Laboratory for Packaging and Packing.

¬ „Acta periodica technologoica“ in the field of Materials and Chemical Technology and Engineering,
¬ „Prehrambena industrija – mleko i mlečni proizvodi“ in the field of Biotechnics and Engineering,
¬ „Uljarstvo“ in the field of Biotechnics and Agriculture, Forestry and related sciences and
¬ „Prosessing and Applications of Ceramics“ in the field of Materials of Chemical Technology.
