The Association of Centres for Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary Studies and Research – ACIMSI is a higher education unit of the University of Novi Sad that provides master and doctoral academic studies, as well as research in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary science fields. The first multidisciplinary programmes, at that time, magister studies, were carried out within the framework of TEMPUS centre in the field of Environmental Engineering in the academic year 1992/1993. With the development of educational and scientific activities and by organizing new interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary studies, TEMPUS Centre soon became the Centre for University Studies, and then the Centre for Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary Studies and Developmental Research (CIMSI). The Bylaw of the University in 2002 specified a new organisation of educational and scientific activities and required the foundation of separate University Centres for each of the programmes offered. All the Centres are now part of the Association of Centres for Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary Studies and Research – ACIMSI and they make a separate educational and scientific unit. Today, ACIMSI consists of eleven University Centres.
1. Centre for Advanced European Studies and Research 2. Centre for Sustainable Development and Environment 3. Centre for Medical Physics and Medical Engineering 4. Centre for Management in Education 5. Centre for Sports Management 6. Centre for Meteorology and Environmental Modelling 7. Centre for Gender Studies 8.
