Inter-regional Conference on Migrations was held in the Rectorate of the University of Novi Sad on February 22, 2018. The conference was organized by the Center for Strategic and Advanced Studies of the University of Novi Sad and it was dedicated to the topic of migrations from the point of view of two regions, the Adriatic-Ionian and the Balkan region, as well as to the improvement of the cooperation among the University of Novi Sad, the University of Trieste and the University of Bologna in this field.

The New Year's concert of the University of Novi Sad was held on 27 December 2017 in the Amphitheatre of the Rectorate. The concert was performed by the Novi Sad String Quartet, made of: Prof. Zoran Krajišnik, Petar Popović, Luka Jezdić and Stavan Jović.

University of Novi Sad has formally become a member of Alliance of Silk Road (ASR) that was officially founded June 2017. As one of the initiators of this initiative in 2016, University of Novi Sad was awarded the membership during the 4th China – Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Conference on Education Cooperation and Exchanges that was organized by Ningbo Education Bureau from June 8th -12th, 2017. Official certificate was given to Assist. Prof. Dr. Nikola Zivlak, who represented University of Novi Sad at this prestige event.

Within the framework of 16+1 cooperation mechanism, two high-rank international conferences will be held at the University of Novi Sad, September 21-22, 2017.
