UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION LUDWIGSBURG
The University of Education Ludwigsburg, whose seat has been in Ludwigsburg ever since 1966, is the largest of six universities of education in Baden-Württemberg, with 5,500 students and 450 staff members. The University offers doctoral and postdoctoral degrees and is focused on educational science both in research and teaching.
The University of Education Ludwigsburg (LUE) is a modern center for educational sciences in four closely related disciplines: school education, extra-curricular education of children and youth, adult/further education and education in cultural and social areas. The University offers Bachelor’s and Master’s degree courses for primary school, secondary school, European secondary school, and special education. LUE is increasing its participation in grammar school teacher training. The special feature of three Bachelor’s degree courses is the interconnection of educational science and pedagogical approaches with the extra-curricular fields of education (early years teaching and education, educational science, cultural and media education).
