The University of Novi Sad officially marked the 56th anniversary of its founding.

Within the Festival of Science and Education (http://www.scifest.uns.ac.rs/), the exhibition entitled "Milanković's canon of the Earth's insolation" was officially opened on 7 May 2016 in the Exhibition Pavilion and the Hall of the Central Building of the University of Novi Sad. The authors of the exhibition are Dr. Đorđe Zloković, member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts and Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Petrović.

University of Novi Sad got the opportunity to retrieve, use and download full text articles from the journals published by the University of Chicago Press free of charge during the free trial period which lasts from April, 19th until May, 19th.

In the Rectorate of the University of Novi Sad, on the 17th March, 2016, a meeting was held with the Rectors of all state universities in Serbia: the University of Belgrade, the University of Niš, the University of Kragujevac, the University of Defence, the State University of Novi Pazar, the University of Arts in Belgrade, the University of Priština temporarily settled in Kosovska Mitrovica and the University of Novi Sad.
