UNS WELCOMES CONTINUED FUNDING FOR THE EUGLOH ALLIANCE IN THE NEXT TWO YEARS (2027-2028)

Published: 14 July 2026

Based on the evaluation results of the project applications, the European Commission has announced that the European University Alliance for Global Health (EUGLOH) has secured continued funding under the European Universities Initiative (EUI) for the 2027–2028 extension period (ERASMUS-EDU-2026-EUR-UNIV).

The University of Novi Sad, as one of the members of the EUGLOH Alliance, welcomes this positive outcome and the continuation of the financial support through the Erasmus+ programme, which will enable the Alliance to continue strengthening collaboration in education, research, innovation, and service to society across Europe.

The new phase of the project, EUGLOH 2Plus, will focus on deepening institutional cooperation, developing a truly transnational European campus, and preparing future-ready professionals equipped to address global health challenges through interdisciplinary collaboration. It will also mark the official accession of the University of Amsterdam as EUGLOH's tenth member university.

Over the coming two years, the University of Novi Sad will continue to contribute to joint educational opportunities, research collaboration, staff development, mobility, and innovative initiatives that benefit our students, researchers, academics, and professional staff.

This new chapter reinforces the commitment of the University of Novi Sad to European cooperation and to working together with the EUGLOH partners to address global challenges through excellence in higher education, research, and innovation.

As of 2027, the EUGLOH Alliance will continue to benefit from the rich educational backgrounds, cutting-edge research expertise and impressive infrastructural resources of the leading universities from across Europe, bringing together ten member universities: Université Paris-Saclay, France; Lund University, Sweden; University of Szeged, Hungary; University of Porto, Portugal; Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Germany; University of Alcalá, Spain; UiT The Arctic University of Norway, Norway; University of Novi Sad, Serbia; University of Hamburg, Germany; and one new member – University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
