The University of Novi Sad has become one of 17 partner universities which co-signed the regional Memorandum of Understanding in the field of gender equality, within the UNIGEM project (University and Gender Mainstreaming).
The signing ceremony took place on 6th October 2021, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, under the patronage of the UK Embassy. On behalf of the University of Novi Sad, the ceremony was attended by the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Prof. Dr. Sabina Halupka-Rešetar.
The newly formed network constitutes of 17 institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Republic of Serbia, and Montenegro. The UNIGEM project is the first of its kind in the region, connecting ten public and seven private universities which will tackle various issues of gender equality and gender-based violence at partner universities during the following four years. The Project has been implemented with the support of UK Government and the coordinating institution is the Transcultural Psychosocial Educational Foundation (TPO) in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
