
Vladislav Zekić was born on November 6th, 1973 in Sarajevo, Municipality of Centar. He enrolled at the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, in the course of study of Agricultural Economics, in 1992. He graduated in 1997 as a first in his generation, with an average grade of 8.46. He completed his postgraduate studies in 2000 at the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad with an average grade of 9.57. At the beginning of 2006, he defended his doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad.
During the academic year 1997/1998, he worked as a demonstrator at the Faculty of Agriculture, Novi Sad. At the beginning of 1998, he started working in PIK–BEČEJ Poljoprivreda Bečej, and from the end of 2000 he was employed in the company Agrovojvodina-Komercservis, Novi Sad. At the beginning of 2004, he was appointed as a teaching assistant in the scientific field of Accounting and Farm Economics at the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad. He was appointed as Assistant Professor in 2006, Associate Professor in 2011, and Full Professor in 2016 in the same scientific field at the Faculty of Agriculture, Novi Sad, where he has been teaching at all levels of study.
During his work at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Novi Sad, he has performed the following duties: Director of the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology (2012–2018); member of the Council of the Faculty of Agriculture (2012–2015); Head of the Quality Evaluation Commission of the Faculty of Agriculture and a member of the Educational and Scientific Council of the Faculty of Agriculture (since 2015); member of the University Senate Expert Council for Social Sciences (since 2014).
During his professional career, he participated in development of over one hundred and fifty capital value evaluations and privatization programs; dozens of court and extra-judicial expert reports; creation of dozens of investment studies and business plans. He is a permanent expert witness in the field of economics and finance.
He is the author and co-author of more than 120 scientific publications including one monograph, more than twenty M20 publications and two original professional achievements. He was the supervisor of three defended doctoral thesis. He has participated in a number of national and international scientific projects.
