Antonio Tony Underwood, a famous USA jazz musician, composer and music producer, will visit the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad and hold a series of free workshops on jazz music in the next few months. The first workshop was held on Monday, the 22nd of February at the Multimedia Centre of the Academy of Arts.
Antonio Tony Underwood’s visit in Serbia is supported by the Fulbright Scholar Program of the USA embassy. The aim of his visit is to research the influence of traditional and contemporary jazz music on the Serbian culture. Underwood has lectured in the field of music for more than thirty years and he has extensive and valuable experience in music and film industry. He has been a member of the big band McCoy Tyner All-Star Big Band for 24 years, the two time winners of the prestigious music award Grammy.
His workshops will be held each Monday at the Multimedia Centre of the Academy of Arts, from 10 am to 1 pm, till the 5th of May, 2016. Everyone who wants to learn something more about jazz music is welcome. Every week, a film about jazz music will be presented.
