UNS WEBSITE ALSO IN CHINESE LANGUAGE

With the aim of strengthening the cooperation between the University of Novi Sad and the universities in the People's Republic of China and making the educational and scientific offer of the University of Novi Sad more accessible to students, professors and researchers from China, the University launched a version of its website in the Chinese language.

Wholehearted support to this endeavor was provided by the Confucius Institute at University of Novi Sad. Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Novi Sad, together with his associates, provided the translation into the Chinese language of the main information related to the University and its academic offer for foreign students.

Along with the extensive bilateral cooperation that the University of Novi Sad implements with the partner universities in China, two events in 2017 are particularly noteworthy.

The University of Novi Sad organized the Interdisciplinary Summer School for Chinese Students from 20th to 30th May 2017. The School offered lectures in a wide variety of subjects so as to give students an introduction to Serbia and Southeast Europe. The lectures were held by teaching staff from several faculties of the University of Novi Sad on topics in the fields of history, politics, culture, religion, literature, business and economics in Serbia, the legal system of the Republic of Serbia and the European Union, as well as the gastronomy of Serbia and Southeast Europe. The Interdisciplinary Summer School for Chinese Students was attended by 22 students from China (21 came from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and one student was from the Shanghai Jiao Tong University). 

Within the framework of the international platform for cooperation between China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe (16+1 cooperation Mechanism, complementary to the Belt and Road Initiative), the 5th China-CEECs Education Policy Dialogue of the Ministers of Education of those countries will be held at the University of Novi Sad, 21st September 2017. Furthermore, the 4th Meeting of China-CEECs Higher Education Institutions Consortium, gathering the rectors of the leading universities from the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and China, will be held the following day at the University of Novi Sad.
