ANNUAL EUGLOH SUMMIT 2023 HELD IN LUND, SWEDEN

The University of Novi Sad delegation, led by the Rector Prof. Dr. Dejan Madić and the Vice-Rector for International Relations Prof. Dr. Sabina Halupka-Rešetar, took part in the Annual Summit of the European University Association for Global Health – EUGLOH, hosted by the University of Lund, Sweden, 12-14 June 2023. With more than 300 representatives from all nine EUGLOH partner universities as well as all four associated partner universities, the event programme was designed around the theme “Building Bridges between Education and Research”.

THE BUSINESS PRODUCTIVITY TOOLS COURSE CREATED WITHIN THE ERASMUS+ PROJECT VIVA

The Business Productivity Tools course was created as part of the Erasmus+ project Versatile and Innovative Open Resources for Collaborative Virtual and Mobile Learning Arrangements in Higher Education (VIVA). The Viva initiative sought to improve higher education by using novel ways to teaching, research, and knowledge transfer. Our researchers, teachers, and students actively contributed in a variety of areas throughout the project, including innovation, knowledge transfer systems, e-learning, and the sustainable growth of higher education. As part of the project's outcomes, a pilot course on business productivity tools was developed and is now open and available on the University's Sova e-learning platform.

JRC SUMMER SCHOOL: EVALUATION OF AIR, SOIL AND WATER POLLUTION

The JRC is pleased to announce the Summer School on the evaluation of air, soil and water pollution in support to the European Green Deal: a holistic approach organised by the European Commission's Joint Research Centre in partnership with the University of Novi Sad. The aim of this training is to develop green skills for a more sustainable and resource-efficient society.

UNS HOSTS EUGLOH COURSE ON COMMUNICATION AND PRESENTATION SKILLS

Within the EUGLOH Alliance, University of Novi Sad hosted the course „Communication and Presentation Skills in Professional Environment“ which was realized during May 2023. Students who participated in the course were from the University of Novi Sad and five other partner universities – Université Paris-Saclay (France), Lund University (Sweden), Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (Germany), Universidade do Porto (Portugal) and University of Szeged (Hungary).

THE FIRST UNS ERASMUS+ BIP FOCUSED ON INTERNATIONALISATION IN HIGHER EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND SERVICES

The process of internationalisation in higher education, science, and university services represents one of the strategic areas of many European universities. As an important topic with many current challenges, the University of Novi Sad focused its first Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) on this common field of interest, hosting 26 representatives of partner universities from seven countries – Portugal, Hungary, Finland, Romania, Spain, Croatia, and North Macedonia – to jointly investigate and discuss important aspects and challenges of internationalisation in higher education.

NOBEL PRIZE LAUREATE DAN SHECHTMAN GUEST OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NOVI SAD

The Nobel Prize laureate Professor Dan Shechtman, a prominent professor at Technion – Israel Institute of Technology and the professor of Iowa State University, visited the University of Novi Sad, 15 May 2023. On this occasion, Professor Shechtman held a lecture on quasi crystals, for which discovery in the early 1980s he was awarded with the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2011.

UNS STUDENTS VOLUNTEER IN THE RESCUE MISSION AFTER THE DEVESTATING EARTHQUAKE IN TURKEY
